I found this gorgeous small cowrie shell on the uninhabited island of Samson in The Isles of Scilly – I have spent many hours searching on the beautiful white stretch of sand there! This 18 carat gold sand dollar was cast from one found on a beach in Lamu – so delicate it crumbled during the casting so I no longer have the original in my collection of shells. Beautiful coral stud earrings in 18ct gold. The inspiration for these was from coral found on a beach in Mahe in the Seychelles (as in the photo). I just love the flower like texture achieved. The earrings have 18ct threaded gold posts with a scroll that screws on for added security. The discs are approximately 0.9 cm diameter.
